Lena is WALKING!!!!

Here is the video I have been promising! As y'all know, from a couple of post ago, Lena is taking steps. Well this weekend (during the AU game) she just stood up in the middle of the floor and started walking!! Not just taking steps but WALKING!! Here are a couple of videos. Once again, she truly amazes us everyday and can't believe how smart and big she is getting.

And yes, the girl already LOVES her shoes!!

1st Birthday!

Our baby girl is ONE!!! Friday, on Lena's birthday, Lubin and I took the day off and took Lena to the Pumpkin Patch. We had so much fun! Lena's favorite thing was playing in the corn pit. They also had a petting zoo, where we saw goats, sheep, calves, donkeys, and many other animals. We got the ride a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch and pick out our pumpkin. We are hoping this can become a yearly tradition for Lena's birthday. We can't wait till next year. Here are a few pictures from that day. I will post some of her birthday party later!

First Steps!

Well Lena took her first steps Saturday, 10/2. Lubin and I were in the living room playing with her when she let go of the couch and took a step. Unfortunately, I was not looking so I did not see it but was glad Lubin saw it. Since then she will take a few steps at a time (when she is in the mood and doesn't get to excited). We haven't been able to get her on video yet taking steps so I was going to post this other video. Lena will now show you were her belly is! She truly amazes us how smart she is and how fast she picks up on things. This is her 2nd body part she has learn (the first one being her bottom). I will post a video of her walking as soon as we can get it and definitely post pictures of her 1st birthday soon!!! Can't believe our baby girl is about to be 1!!!!

Lubin turned the camera where Lena could see herself while we were recording. She thought it was so silly to see herself. This baby loves herself!

Just incase you forgot what you were suppose to do when you open the car door to get Lena out, she is going to remind you. This is so cute!! I wonder how our little princess can be this smart sometimes. Lubin asked me a couple of weeks ago if I had seen her doing this and I had not. But then Aunt Ang told me she had seen her do it a couple of times. Guess she just wanted to show me last. Hope y'all enjoy!

Lena's First Beach Trip Part 1

Lena putting her feet in the ocean for the first time. She did not know quite what to think.

We first sat on a blanket and just played with some toys.

Then we filled up our pool and splashed in the water.

Then I FINALLY let Lena play in the sand (I had to take baby steps). She loved it!! She just couldn't figures out what this stuff was on her hands and how to get it off.

Aunt Shannon was in Panama City so she drove over to see Lena on the beach for the first time!

Sign Language

When I was in the Infant classroom a few years back, Laura and I taught the kids sign language. The parents loved it and it really helped with communication before the children could talk. We have been working with Lena for about a week and she is learning"more". I'm not sure if she really gets the concept of what it means (cause she will look at us and do it randomly and smile) but we are working on it. Here is a video that Angela taped this weekend.

Something new everyday

Lena just seems to be learning something new everyday. She is all over the place now and into everything. You can't turn away for a second. She is also pulling up on everything now so you have to watch her extra close.

Today she figured out that the leaf on her jumper turns. Here is a short video. She is just so cute and truly amazes us how smart she is.

Our little Princess started pulling up by herself yesterday, May 23! She hasn't mastered it yet but is close. She amazes us everyday!

Always Dada's fault

Lena was trying to make it into the kitchen to eat her breakfast. She just wasn't in the crawling mood. And it was all Dada's fault (cause that is the only ones name she can say). This is the only time we have gotten her to say it on video.
