Only 12 weeks to go!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of the nursery. Saturday the bead board will go up!!

28 weeks! I cannot believe we only have 12 weeks to go!

I had to crop my head out of this one. My face is getting a little "puffy" (as one of the parents at the center told me) and this was not a very flattering picture. She is getting so big!

Work in Progress.....

I had my gestational diabetes test the morning. I passed!! I was a little worried since the first thing they do is change your diet, take out your carbs. Since I can't eat meat that would have really limited me. But luckily no worries. It was not bad at all either (like a lot of people make it out to be).

I wanted to post a few pictures of Lena's room. We just started so not much is done. I love the color so far. Hopefully after the second coat and it dries I will still feel the same way. Derenda and Mike are coming over this weekend to help put up the bead board so hopefully I will have more pictures Sunday.

Family Beach Trip

We went to Destin with my family last week. I did not take that many pictures but was going to post some of the few I did take. Angela's best friend Leah was down there the same time we were. She is going to take our maternity pictures and I asked her to go ahead and take a couple while we were at the beach. The beach was still very crowded when we went to take some so we could not get many but we got a couple.
Lena LOVED the beach. Everyday as soon as we would get out there and she would hear the ocean she would start moving. She is big enough now that when she moves you can see my whole stomach move. (Derenda I know what you mean now about feeling like everyone can see your stomach jumping up and down.) She was so exhausted from moving so much during the day she did not even move at night when she heard her music box.
I hope y'all enjoy the pictures and hopefully I will be posting some of her nursery soon!!

Papa Bear and me on the beach

Out to dinner one night.

I just had to throw this one in. Dad made us sit under an Alabama umbrella the whole week. The last day I guess he decided to go out in style and get the Auburn umbrella. WAR EAGLE!!!

Twins??

Don't worry we are not having twins!! Just wanted to share a funny story with y'all. One of the dads (at the center) came in today and asked when I was due. I told him at the end of October. After looking at my stomach for just a second he asked me if I was having twins! I told him no, there was just one baby. Then he asked me if I was suppose to be that big, if that was normal. I told him I thought so. He then asked when Lee, my director, was due and I told him at the end of September. He said "But you are as big as her." I said "Well I guess she is just going to be a big baby." and he said "Well you definitely have something big in there!" I thought it was all very funny. Sometimes you wonder if people really think before they speak. The funny thing is that is the second person to come in and say something like that to me. I really did not think that I had gained that much but maybe my stomach is just getting that big???

So I am posting a picture from today (the one in the grey shirt) and I will be 25 weeks tomorrow. Sorry I had just got my haircut and it dried natural so I told Lubin just to get Lena. The other picture is from Friday before we went to buy Lena's crib and dresser and TRYING to register her. No one thought to tell us the registering is one of the most stressful things. Now that I tell other mothers about our experience, they tell me about theirs and they agree. There are just way to many important decision.

I also wanted to share with y'all something that just completely amazes me. As I have told you before Lena's great grandparents bought her a music box and she listens to it every night before we (Lubin and I not Lena that is her active time)go to bed. The other night Anthony still had not felt her move, mostly because he doesn't have to patience. I got her music box and started playing it for her and she went crazy. He felt her moving around and doing flips. She does this pretty much every night when she hears it. I just amazes me that at almost 25 weeks and still in the womb that she can be that attached to something! One of the only other things that will make her move like that is her Daddy's voice. She is already Daddy's little girl!
We are going to the beach next week with the fam. So I will add another post after we get back!

4D Ultrasound

So Lena is either very shy (gets that from me) or very hardheaded (gets that from her Daddy). She wanted to face my back the majority of the time. Once she finally turned she would not move her hands from infront of her face. Then she decided to put her foot infront of her face too. The tech was doing everything she could to get her to move. Pushing on my stomach (which started to get sore after a while), shaking my stomach, she even got a little buzzer and tried buzzing her. Nothing really seemed to work. I had drank almost a whole 20 oz. Diet Dr. Pepper, she said caffine wouldn't bother her. I guess she was trying to tell us we were cheating and we were not suppose to see what she looks like until she decides to come out. Here are a few pictures we were able to get.
